Voice
science is gradually developing in Turkey. During the past 20
years, voice clinics have been established in certain universities.
After 1990, the colleagues interested in voice diseases promoted
this field in Turkey and many meetings or workshops were organized.
The routine use of videolaryngostroboscopy and development of
voice laboratories allowed many medical centers to advance in
the diagnosis and management of the voice diseases.
Recently, Professional Voice Association has been founded in
Ankara in January,2000. The president of the association is
Gürsel Dursun,MD. From Ankara University ( website: www.profvoice.org
).
Also, 3rd World Voice Congress is going to be held in Antalya,Turkey
between June 29 and July 3, 2003.

www.voice2003.org). This congress is sponsored by World Voice
Consortium and organized by Ankara University, Department of
ORL.
